Organic Safflower Oil (Carthamus Tinctorius)
Safflower is a highly branched, herbaceous, thistle-like annual plant with beautiful yellow, orange or red flower heads. Safflower oil is flavorless and colorless. Safflower oil is a rich source of unsaturated fatty acids, including monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats in particular Oleic Acid. Safflower oil has shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. When applied topically to dry or inflamed skin, it may help soothe the skin and achieve a soft and smooth appearance.
Safflower oil also contains vitamin E, a potent antioxidant which is extremely beneficial for skin health and vitality. Vitamin E protects the skin from the effects of sunlight and from free radicals, which are harmful molecules that damage cells in the body and contribute to various skin conditions
